Most private clinics start from a blank page. We don't have to. With your consent, we can access your NHS record — so your appointment begins fully informed.
Consent-based · Fully auditable · UK GDPR compliant
Most private GPs operate completely separately from the NHS. No access to your records. No visibility of your past consultations, test results, or what medications have been tried before. Every appointment starts from scratch.
My Private Clinic is different. As an accredited GP practice, we have the ability to access your NHS record — the same records your NHS GP uses — with your explicit consent. That means Dr Faizal Secretary walks into your appointment already informed.
No gaps. No repeating yourself. No missed allergies. Just a consultation that can spend its time on what matters.
Everything your NHS GP can see — accessed only with your consent, only for the purpose of your appointment.
Past appointments, clinical notes, and diagnoses from your NHS GP — the full picture of what you've been seen for.
Previous blood tests, pathology results, and investigation findings. No need to request copies or remember numbers.
Specialist referral letters, discharge summaries, outpatient letters, and reports held on your NHS record.
Recorded allergies, intolerances, and adverse drug reactions — a critical safety check before any prescription.
Your active prescriptions and dosages. Avoids duplications, missed interactions, and the need to recall every medication from memory.
Immunisations recorded on your NHS record — useful for travel health, occupational health, and catching up on missed doses.
Access is never assumed. We follow a clear, two-minute consent process before viewing anything.
Can't recall what that specialist said three years ago, or which medication you tried that didn't agree with you? We can check. A thorough consultation shouldn't depend on a patient's memory.
Allergies, current medications, previous diagnoses — all visible before any prescription is written. It's a safety net most private appointments simply don't have.
You've told your NHS GP your history. You shouldn't have to start over because you've chosen private care. We pick up where your NHS record left off.
When the doctor already knows what's been tried, what's been ruled out, and what's ongoing, the appointment is more focused. Less time reconstructing history, more time on the problem you've come in for.
No. This is a capability most private clinics do not have. Access to NHS systems like GP Connect requires accreditation, technical integration, and regulatory approval. My Private Clinic holds the necessary accreditation as a registered GP practice.
Absolutely not. It is entirely optional. Many patients find it helpful, but your appointment is just as thorough without it. Let us know your preference when booking.
NHS records aren't always up to date. If we notice something that looks outdated or inconsistent, we'll flag it with you during the appointment. If you'd like a correction made to your NHS record, we can advise you on how to request that.
Yes — all access is logged in the NHS audit trail. Your NHS GP will be able to see that access was made, by whom, and when. This is a feature of the system, not a concern: it ensures full accountability.
Yes, where appropriate and with your agreement. We can send a consultation summary to your NHS GP, which they can add to your record. This supports continuity of care between your private and NHS treatment.
No. It is included as part of your consultation at no additional cost. It is simply part of how we work.
